A frolic through the village of Covington Glen will take you on a surreal journey where history and mythology become reality. Every year, patrons dress as their favorite renaissance character, adding to the festive atmosphere of this popular festival, and we look forward to seeing the costumes you have in store for us this year. Release your inner Viking and join the raid on the festival’s first themed weekend of May 6th and 7th, Viking Victory. Be sure and grab your helmet, armor, and Gjallarhorn from the longboat before joining the siege. |

On May 13th and 14th, hobbits will leave the shire, fairies are vacating the woods, and giants are climbing down from their bean stalks (very carefully) to participate in our Fantasy & Folklore-themed weekend. You’ll want to don your fanciest set of scales and dragon wings to socialize with orcs and goblins dressed so well you might mistake them for the real thing. Avast, matey! Scupper that suit and tie and strap on your peg leg because the weekend of May 20th and 21st is all about the Pirate Plunder. Brandish your swords and swashbuckle with other pirates in costumes that will give Blackbeard a run for his money. |

A sidhe sings her song to the sound of bagpipes for the Celtic Celebration on May 27th, 28th and 29th. Proud Celts will be wearing their tunics, cloaks, and kilts. Beautiful torcs will beam brightly throughout, and Leprechaun sightings may be frequent. Preparing your costume can be as enjoyable as wearing it during the festival. In a show of our appreciation for your efforts, costume showcases will be held every day of the festival, where you can proudly display your creative garb and character. A list of Costume Showcase locations and times will be posted on our website soon. Remember to run through our dress code and weapons policy on our FAQ page before suiting up! |

All costumes recognizing the spirit of the renaissance era are encouraged; we cannot wait to see them all. We also are excited to welcome patrons preferring to enjoy the festival in their everyday attire. Whether you’re strapping up your cavalier boots or tying your favorite walking shoes, we look forward to seeing you this year! |
